Bloomsburg Rolls over Millersville in Softball

MILLERSVILLE--The Bloomsburg University softball team swept a twinbill from Millersville on Tuesday by scores of 5-2 and 4-2.

In game one, Tara Emery (Sunbury/Shikellamy) went 3-3, scored two runs and drove in one to lead the Huskies to the win. Emery drove in Bloomsburg's first run with a second inning double, then later scored on Stacey Krupiewski's (Trooper/Methacton) single.

Ashley Lynn (Riverside/Danville) earned her 15th win of the season by striking out seven and allowing just six hits.

In game two, Lisa Bohner (Northumberland/Shikellamy) went 2-3, scored two runs and drove home one in the Huskies 4-2 win. Alyson Taylor (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) also went 2-3 and drove home a run, while Emery and Missy Bachert (Coplay/Parkland) also had one RBI each.

Tara Reed (Williamsport/Williamsport) went the distance allowing just four hits and striking out four.

Bloomsburg is now 33-16, 16-6 in the PSAC East. Millersville is 27-17, 10-10 in the PSAC East.
